Job summary

Fillauer is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist III to program, setup, and produce precision components for orthotic and prosthetic devices. The role requires deep technical expertise in CNC programming, tooling strategies, and process troubleshooting on a production floor.

You will mentor junior machinists, collaborate with engineering and quality teams, and help drive continuous improvement in manufacturability and cycle times while maintaining safety and clean work practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience with progression in responsibility.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
• Experience with tooling strategy and fixture selection.

Responsibilities

• Program less complex parts at the machine and support programming of more advanced components.
• Select cutting tools, fixtures, and machining strategies for complex geometries.
• Set machining parameters (speed, feed, depth of cut, coolant).
• Monitor and troubleshoot machine operations to stay in spec.
• Mentor junior machinists and support shop efficiency improvements.
