Job summary

Fillauer seeks an experienced CNC Machinist II to independently build and run machining jobs, performing setups, changeovers, and tool changes to produce precision components for orthotic and prosthetic devices.

This role requires solid blueprint comprehension, dimensional control, and the ability to work with limited supervision. The candidate should demonstrate growing ownership of their work on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Trade Certificate or relevant apprenticeship preferred.
• 2-4 years of CNC machining experience or equivalent technical training.
• Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver's license and driving record within policy.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines for jobs including tooling, fixtures, and work offsets.
• Build and run parts from setup sheets, blueprints, and job travelers.
• Determine dimensions and tolerances of finished parts from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Measure, mark, and verify material and part dimensions to ensure conformance.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and output.
• Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure parts conform to specifications.
• Troubleshoot minor machining issues related to tooling, setup, and materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
