Job summary

Fillauer is seeking a high-level CAD/CAM Programmer / CNC Machinist IV to support orthotic and prosthetic product development. You will collaborate with Engineering on manufacturability and process development, lead prototype builds, and program using CAM tools for complex, multi-axis parts.

The role emphasizes autonomy, mentoring of machinists, and advancing manufacturing capabilities with precise, validated results.

Responsibilities

• Lead prototype and first-article machining for new orthotic and prosthetic product development
• Collaborate with Engineering on design-for-manufacturability feedback and iterative builds
• Program complex parts using CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks CAM, or equivalent)
• Edit and optimize G-code programs for advanced multi-axis machining operations
• Design fixtures/work-holding solutions for low-volume parts
• Select tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies for diverse materials
• Perform tight-tolerance machining and validate with CMM/indicators
• Lead first-article inspection and participate in root cause analysis
