Job summary

Fillauer is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist II in Chattanooga to independently set up, run, and changeover jobs on precision components used in orthotic and prosthetic devices. You will read blueprints, verify tolerances, and manage tooling and offsets with limited supervision.

This role emphasizes quality, throughput, and safe shop practices. Candidates should have 2–4 years CNC machining experience, a high school diploma (trade certificate preferred), and the ability to work under

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade certificate or apprenticeship preferred.
• 2-4 years CNC machining experience or equivalent technical training.
• Valid driver's license and driving record per company policy.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines for jobs including tooling, fixtures, and work offsets.
• Build and run parts from setup sheets, blueprints, and job travelers.
• Determine dimensions and tolerances from drawings and specifications.
• Measure, mark, and verify material and part dimensions to ensure conformance.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust to maintain quality and output.
• Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure conformance to spec.
• Troubleshoot minor machining issues related to tooling, setup, and materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
