Job summary

Fillauer Companies, Inc. in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a CAD/CAM Programmer / CNC Machinist IV to drive prototype machining and advanced manufacturing initiatives for orthotic and prosthetic product lines.

You will collaborate with Engineering on design-for-manufacturability, program complex parts with Mastercam, Fusion 360 or SolidWorks CAM, and lead first-article inspection while mentoring junior machinists.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive CNC machining experience.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a valid driver's license.
• Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead prototype and first-article machining for new product development.
• Collaborate with Engineering on design-for-manufacturability feedback and iterative builds.
• Program complex parts using CAM software and edit G-code.
• Design fixtures and tooling strategies for low-volume parts.
• Perform tight-tolerance machining and verify with CMM and metrology tools.
• Lead first-article inspection and participate in root cause analysis.
