Job summary

Fillauer Companies, Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist III for lathe operations (Mazak/Doosan/Haas) in Chattanooga. The role emphasizes advanced programming, setup, and production of precision components for orthotic and prosthetic devices, with mentorship to junior machinists.

You will collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure tolerances and efficiency while maintaining a safe, organized shop environment in a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience with progression in responsibility.
• Experience with advanced CNC machining operations and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Program less complex parts at the machine and support programming of more advanced components.
• Select cutting tools, fixtures, and machining strategies for complex geometries.
• Set machining parameters including speed, feed, depth of cut, and coolant flow.
• Monitor operations for malfunctions and out-of-tolerance conditions and take corrective actions.
• Mentor junior machinists and provide technical guidance to the team.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve complex issues.
