Job summary

Rosco Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Senior CNC Engineer with deep expertise in programming and optimizing CNC lathes. This role is hands-on and focuses on developing reliable machining processes to improve quality, efficiency, and throughput.

You will lead new-part setups, prove-out, and production launches while mentoring CNC programmers and machinists. Collaboration across engineering, quality, maintenance, and production is essential to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of CNC programming and manufacturing engineering experience focused on CNC lathes.
• Advanced knowledge of turning operations, tooling, speeds and feeds, and process development.
• Ability to program CNC lathes from engineering drawings and solid models.
• Strong GD&T, blueprint reading, and precision measurement skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and optimize CNC lathe programs for new and existing components.
• Program turning operations including multi-axis and live-tool machining where applicable.
• Lead new-part setup, prove-out, first-piece inspection, and production launch.
• Troubleshoot programming, tooling, setup, cycle-time, and quality issues.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, and production teams.
