Qualifications

• Five+ years in CNC programming and manufacturing engineering focusing on lathes.
• Strong turning, tooling, speeds/feeds, and process development.
• Ability to program from drawings and solid models.
• Experience with CAD/CAM and G-code.
• Solid GD&T knowledge and precision measurement.
• Proven project management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and optimize CNC lathe programs for parts.
• Program complex turning operations, including multi-axis.
• Choose tooling, work holding, and cutting parameters.
• Interpret drawings, GD&T, specs, and customer requirements.
• Lead setup, prove-out, first-piece inspection, and launch.
• Troubleshoot programming, tooling, setup, and cycle-time issues.
• Improve cycle times, tool life, and process capability.
• Create setup sheets and program documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, and production.
• Mentor CNC programmers and machinists.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Promote safe work practices and quality standards.
