Job summary

Atlas is seeking a Senior Construction Materials Testing Technician in New Jersey to apply extensive CMT expertise on diverse projects. Certifications in ACI, ICC, and CWI, plus 5+ years of field testing, are required to ensure quality and safety on site.

The role involves field testing, reporting, and collaboration with engineers, with occasional nights/weekends and regional travel. A valid driver’s license and a high school diploma are required; further education may be considered.

Qualifications

Must hold current certifications in ACI, ICC, CWI and Troxler Nuclear Gauge Safety and Operation.
Minimum of 5 years of construction materials testing (CMT) experience.
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Perform construction-related field testing as directed by the CMT Manager and supervisory staff.
Work 8-10 hours per day, including nights and weekends as project demands.
Communicate field observations and test results to the Project Manager and/or Engineer.
Transport testing equipment, specimens, documentation, and other materials to field locations and labs.
Complete daily field observation reports and project summaries using electronic systems.
Perform field density testing on soil, asphalt, and other materials per standards and procedures.
Assist technicians, engineers, and staff with project-related tasks and provide cross-department support.
