Job summary

Atlas is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Technician (ACI Concrete; ICC/NICET Soils Preferred) to join our Midwest teams on multi-year infrastructure projects.

You will perform field tests, travel to sites across the Midwest, and report results to project managers. A High School Diploma or GED is required, with 2+ years of Construction or CMT experience preferred; ICC/ACI certifications are a plus. Some travel is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years construction or CMT experience preferred.
• ICC or ACI certifications are a plus.
• Ability to travel across Midwest regions.

Responsibilities

• Performs construction-related field tests as directed by the CMT Manager and Senior Engineer.
• Travels to construction sites across the Midwest with possible overnight/weekend work.
• Relays information to project managers/engineers; limited in-field decision making.
• Transports equipment, test specimens, and documents to field personnel and labs.
• Enters daily field observation reports and summary reports electronically.
• Performs field density testing on soil, concrete, asphalt, and other materials.
• Assists other technicians and departments as needed.
