Job summary

Atlas is a trusted leader in environmental and infrastructure consulting services, with 3,500 employees and offices across the US. As an Atlas CMT Technician, you will perform field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other materials on active construction projects.

You will document results and communicate findings to clients, while traveling to project sites as needed. Current ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I certification, or the ability to obtain it after

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction, materials testing, or inspection.
• Experience reading and interpreting construction plans, project specifications, and testing procedures.
• Strong understanding of concrete, soils, aggregate base, and asphalt pavement materials.
• Experience supporting highway, roadway, or building construction projects and collaborating with contractors, owners, and project teams.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel ~20% to project sites.
• Strong computer skills and daily electronic reporting in field databases.

Responsibilities

• Travel to various project sites to support infrastructure projects.
• Collect soil, concrete, asphalt, and other material samples for testing.
• Observe field conditions to ensure work follows project specs.
• Perform field and lab QA testing using established procedures and standards.
• Prepare accurate daily reports and testing documentation.
• Build trusted relationships with clients, contractors, engineers and project teams.
