The role defines the target data model, drives CMDB data quality, and orchestrates integrations with enterprise portfolio platforms, partnering with EA, Infrastructure, and Security teams to position ServiceNow as the trusted data source.

Qualifications

• Experience as CMDB/ITOM/ServiceNow architect required.
• Hands-on with ServiceNow CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, Service Mapping.
• Experience in data quality, reconciliation, and duplicate management.
• Strong knowledge of application lifecycle and dependency mapping.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and govern the CSDM target model across domains.
• Define data ownership, promotion rules, and data normalization.
• Lead ServiceNow Discovery coverage to improve CMDB completeness.
• Lead Service Mapping and dependency mapping for modernization.
• Define integration model between ServiceNow and portfolio platform.
• Develop CMDB/ITOM governance standards with EA, Infra, App, Security.
• Transition from external EA tool to ServiceNow as trusted data source.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior CMDB / ITOM Architect with strong ServiceNow experience to lead CSDM, CMDB governance, Discovery, and Service Mapping initiatives. The ideal candidate will define the target data model, improve CMDB data quality, and drive integration with enterprise portfolio platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and govern the CSDM target model across Business Applications, Application Services, Software Models, and Entitlements.
• Define rules for software model-to-business application promotion, data ownership, normalization, and duplicate record management.
• Lead ServiceNow Discovery coverage and identify opportunities to improve CMDB completeness and accuracy.
• Lead Service Mapping and dependency mapping, particularly for application retirement and modernization initiatives.
• Define the data contract and integration model between ServiceNow and the portfolio management platform.
• Develop CMDB/ITOM governance standards and collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Application, and Security teams.
• Support the transition away from an external Enterprise Architecture (EA) tool and establish ServiceNow as the trusted source for application/service data.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience as a CMDB Architect, ITOM Architect, or ServiceNow Architect.
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB, CSDM, Discovery, and Service Mapping.
• Experience with CMDB data quality, reconciliation, normalization, and duplicate management.
• Experience with application lifecycle, dependency mapping, and enterprise integrations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
