Job summary

LHH is seeking a Senior CMDB Engineer to join our client's team in a full-time, hybrid role that can sit in Seattle, WA, Los Angeles, CA, or San Francisco, CA. The role centers on shaping and maintaining the CMDB data model across cloud and on-premise environments.

You will lead discovery operations, integrate CMDB with external systems, and drive Service Mapping to accurately reflect services and dependencies. Strong ServiceNow CMDB experience and ITIL alignment are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT.
• 5+ years of IT discovery tools and CMDB experience.
• 5+ years of ServiceNow Discovery, ITSM, CMDB experience.
• Strong networking knowledge (SNMP, WMI, SSH, HTTP/S).
• Experience with cloud platforms and virtualization.
• Experience with ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping implementations.

Responsibilities

• Own CMDB data model strategy including CI classes and relationships.
• Design CMDB architectures and maintain CMDB platform configurations.
• Lead CMDB Discovery operations and resolve data discrepancies.
• Develop integrations between CMDB and external systems (Monitoring, Asset, HR, Security).
• Collaborate on MID server/connectors and performance tuning.
• Implement Service Mapping to reflect business services and dependencies.
• Partner with DevOps to integrate CI/CD pipelines with CMDB.
• Drive automation to improve data accuracy and coverage.
• Govern CMDB standards, governance, and lifecycle controls.
• Support audits, SOX, and PCI initiatives related to CMDB.
