Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) to deliver high‑level operational support for complex cloud applications, drive reliability, and coordinate with the VA team in a remote environment. You will troubleshoot outages, document issues, and implement approved workarounds while maintaining strong customer communication.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in production systems, deep AWS/Azure experience, Linux/Windows proficiency, scripting, IaC, CI/CD,

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in systems engineering, particularly in production environments.
3+ years of experience with SQL queries and monitoring.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day operational support of complex application cloud systems.
Develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.
Document problems in logging and discrepancy reporting tools.
Work directly with the customer in day-to-day activities.
Maintain inventory of system assets and ensure VA security compliance.
Respond to user calls regarding hardware and software problems; escalate when required.
