Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) to provide high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems. The role requires experience with AWS/Azure, Linux/Windows, scripting, and automation tools, plus strong communication and on-call readiness.

The position is fully remote within the United States, with a government-affiliated environment and security requirements, including public trust clearance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL queries and monitoring.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support of cloud systems and production environments.
• Develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.
• Document problems and resolutions in logging/discrepancy tools.
• Collaborate with customers on day-to-day activities and report status to management.
• Maintain computing infrastructure and ensure security compliance.
• On-call rotation for production system support.
