Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join a new team supporting Cloud Streaming platforms. You will work with domain experts to build deep expertise in complex distributed systems and serve as the technical foundation for a high-performing team.

Requirements include a BS in CS, 5+ years’ experience, strong Java, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and CI/CD skills. You’ll contribute to global-scale systems, reliability, and performance optimization.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong Java expertise.
• Experience with AWS and managed services.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Helm.
• Linux development experience.
• Proficient with GitHub, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiar with NoSQL, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, CNCF tech.
• Distributed systems, storage, networking, high availability.
• REST and gRPC web tech understanding.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement features in distributed back end systems.
• Own delivery of well-defined features end-to-end.
• Create unit tests and define integration tests with Test Engineering.
• Address performance and reliability at global scale.
• Triage and fix reported bugs and communicate estimates.
