Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Principal Technologist to drive strategic initiatives across Federal programs, interfacing with customers, partners, and service teams. This role requires deep cloud expertise and a track record in business development within government programs.

You will influence leadership decisions, coordinate cross-functional teams, and shape long-term AWS Federal strategy while upholding the company’s leadership principles and security standards.

Qualifications

• Experience influencing organizational leadership decisions.
• 7+ years with core cloud tech services (Compute/Edge/Hybrid/Security/Networking).
• 7+ years in Go-To-Market, business development, sales or consulting.
• 7+ years in Enterprise App Modernization and Migration tech.
• 7+ years in Data & AI technologies (AI/ML, Analytics, DB, Storage).
• Bachelor's degree.
• Current TS/SCI US Government Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with AWS service teams to meet technical commitments for named programs.
• Interface with Capture, Sales, and Solutions Architecture for partnership discussions and capture decisions.
• Coordinate a matrixed team from Federal verticals to support programs.
• Develop long-term AWS Federal strategy including global infrastructure, features, and go-to-market.
