Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to partner with financial services customers, providing scalable cloud architectures and guiding migrations to AWS.

You will lead strategic technical plans, educate customers on AWS value, and collaborate with sales and engineering teams to drive adoption across lines of business. Travel up to 25% may be required, and deep AI/ML knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technology with software, cloud, or infrastructure expertise.
• 6+ years in design, implementation, or consulting in applications or infrastructures.
• 6+ years IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or 12+ years domain experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical elements of the strategic plan for accelerating adoption of AWS across the customer's lines of business.
• Solutions Architects own the overall technical relationship and advise on security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency.
• Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in deep architectural discussions for cloud deployments.
• Conduct one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or using AWS.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community.
• Author or contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as blog posts and white-papers.
• Build deep relationships with senior technical stakeholders to enable cloud advocacy.
• Architect solutions leveraging AWS technology, including proof-of-concepts or prototypes.
• Travel may be required for this role, up to 25%.
