Job summary

Verint Systems, Inc. is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the development of the Common Real Time System (CRTS). The role focuses on cloud-based technologies, architecture leadership, and delivering scalable, high-quality software across distributed teams.

You will mentor engineers, drive design decisions, and collaborate with architects to evolve the product vision while meeting deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall experience in architecture, design, and development of large-scale applications.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, IT, or equivalent.
• 7+ years with Go and Java.
• 5+ years with Pulsar, NATS, Valkey or similar tech.
• 5+ years in cloud-based product development, microservices, API and event-driven development.
• 5+ years with SDLC and agile/iterative methodologies; developer by nature with analytical skills.
• 4+ years with Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Keda.
• 5+ years with AWS (S3, EKS, Bedrock) and other vendors (GCP, Azure).
• Excellent knowledge of cloud computing and multi-cloud transitions.
• 4+ years with DevOps tools and CI/CD; 4+ years with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with monitoring solutions (DataDog, Grafana).
• Exposure to AI tools in development cycles and driving excellence via AI tools.
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and evaluate cloud-based technologies against product requirements and proofs of concept.
• Provide technical leadership by influencing design and architecture of major software components.
• Produce documentation and design artifacts for scalability and reusability across the application.
• Mentor engineers on design techniques, test automation and coding standards.
• Collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams across time zones.
• Champion product quality, customer-centric thinking and technical excellence.
