Job summary

Verint Systems Inc. in the United States is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the architecture and development of the Common Real Time System (CRTS). You will guide engineering teams, design scalable components, and champion best practices across cloud-native, microservices, and event-driven solutions.

You will mentor engineers, work across time zones, and help evolve the product with AI-assisted development tools while delivering high-quality results for production systems.

Qualifications

• 8 years of enterprise software experience in architecture, design and development of large-scale applications.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, IT, or equivalent.
• 7 years experience with Go and Java.
• 5 years experience with Pulsar, NATS, Valkey or similar tech.
• 5 years experience in cloud-based product development and microservices architecture.
• 5 years experience with SDLC and agile/iterative methodologies; developer by nature.
• 4 years experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Keda.
• 5 years experience with AWS and other cloud providers (GCP, Azure).
• 4 years experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD; 4 years with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with monitoring solutions (Data Dog, Grafana).
• Exposure to AI tools in development (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).
• Excellent communication, organization and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and evaluate cloud-based technologies against product requirements.
• Provide technical leadership influencing design and architecture of major components.
• Produce technical docs and design artifacts for scalability and reuse.
• Foster creativity and excellence through technical innovations and thought leadership.
• Mentor engineers on design techniques, testing and coding standards.
• Adhere to deadlines while multitasking across a globally distributed team.
• Collaborate with peer architects and gain knowledge of integrated solutions.
• Champion product quality and customer-centric thinking.
• Drive R&D to evolve the product and explore new technologies.
• Communicate with customers and stakeholders to resolve production issues.
