Job summary

Verint Systems, Inc. seeks a Principal Software Engineer to drive architecture and development for the Common Real Time System (CRTS). You will lead cloud-based, microservices-driven efforts, mentor engineers, and collaborate with global teams to ensure product quality and scalable design.

You will guide technical direction, implement proof-of-concept work, and participate in R&D to evolve the product amid evolving market challenges. Strong Go/Java, cloud, and DevOps skills are required.

Qualifications

8 years of overall experience in architecture, design and development of large-scale applications.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or equivalent experience.
7 years experience with Go and Java.
5 years experience with Pulsar, NATS, Valkey or similar technology.
5 years experience in cloud-based product development, microservices architecture, API and event-driven development and best practices.
5 years experience with SDLC and agile/iterative methodologies; developer by nature with analytical skills.
4 years experience with containerized technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Keda.
5 years experience with AWS (S3, EKS, Bedrock) and other vendors (GCP, Azure).
Experience with public/private/hybrid cloud solutions and multi-cloud transitions.
4 years experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD processes.
4 years experience with PostgreSQL.
Experience with monitoring solutions like Data Dog, Grafana.
Exposure to AI tools in development cycles to drive development excellence.
Excellent communication, collaboration, organization and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and evaluate cloud-based technologies against product requirements and for proof of concept.
Provide technical leadership by influencing design and architecture of major software components.
Produce technical documentation and design artifacts for scalability and reusability.
Mentor engineers on design techniques, test automation and coding standards.
Collaborate with architects and stakeholders across time zones to resolve production issues.
Champion product quality, customer-centric thinking, and technical excellence.
Pioneer R&D efforts to evolve the product and explore new technologies.
