Job summary

EY seeks a senior cloud engineering leader to serve as the hands-on technical authority for AI-enabled services, moving workloads from experimentation to dependable production. You will accelerate infrastructure, verify results, and guide decisions on architecture, performance, resilience, and cost across multiple use cases.

This is a senior IC role with deep cloud and SRE experience, responsible for setting reliability standards, reviewing designs, and coaching teams while enabling scalable,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study.
• 9-12+ years of relevant experience.
• Substantial experience designing and operating cloud, infrastructure, platform, or site reliability capabilities in production.
• Technical depth with distributed-system problem solving and rationale.
• Hands-on expertise with infrastructure as code, modern runtimes, networking, identity, and automation.
• Production reliability experience: service objectives, observability, capacity planning, recovery testing.
• Incident leadership: investigating failures, supporting response, and durable remediation.
• Automation judgment: strong coding skills and evaluating AI-generated outputs.
• Cross-team influence: mentoring engineers and guiding architecture/readiness decisions.
• Travel up to 50% and hybrid office participation.

Responsibilities

• Build shared cloud foundations, reusable infrastructure, environment patterns, and deployment automation.
• Use AI-assisted engineering responsibly, review, debug, test, and validate code.
• Guide complex designs, review architectures, migrations, and releases for reliability, security, and cost.
• Strengthen production readiness with evidence requirements and launch readiness checks.
• Set reliability practices with service objectives, observability, alerts, and reviews.
• Make cost and capacity visible by testing workload assumptions and guiding scaling decisions.
• Resolve difficult failures through deep investigations and durable fixes.
• Prove resilience via performance tests, recovery exercises, and rollback plans.
• Turn lessons into reusable capabilities with reference implementations and runbooks.
• Raise engineering capability by coaching, challenging assumptions, and transitioning ownership.
