Job summary

EY is seeking a Cloud Engineer and Site Reliability SME at Senior Manager level in New York. You will be the hands-on technical authority for engineering practices moving services from experimentation to dependable production.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is required.
Extensive experience in cloud and site reliability engineering across production.
Proven ability to design and operate cloud, infrastructure, or SRE capabilities in production.

Responsibilities

Build shared cloud foundations and reusable infrastructure patterns.
Apply AI-assisted engineering to accelerate development and investigations.
Review architectures, migrations, and releases for reliability, security, performance and cost.
Define evidence before launch and ensure production readiness.
Establish service objectives, observability standards, and incident reviews.
Guide scaling decisions using performance, consumption, and demand data.
Lead deep investigations and test durable fixes across distributed services.
Design resilience tests, recovery procedures, and rollback paths.
Publish reference implementations and runbooks for ongoing use.
Mentor engineers and transfer capabilities to owners with clear operating responsibilities.
