Job summary

Senior Cloud Security Engineer role focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud environments (AWS) across the system lifecycle. You will work with cross-functional teams to enforce zero-trust principles, data protection, and continuous monitoring.

The position requires hands-on experience with cloud security architectures, CSPM/CNAPP technologies, and IaC tooling. A current AWS certification and ability to obtain a U.S. government clearance are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years total experience.
• 5+ years architecting, designing, developing, implementing, or securing cloud solutions.
• 5+ years experience with cloud platforms, including AWS.
• Experience implementing cloud security architecture, controls, and best practices in AWS.
• Experience with CNAPP or CSPM solutions.
• Experience with IAM, authentication, authorization, and least-privilege principles in cloud environments.
• Experience identifying, assessing, tracking, and supporting remediation of cloud vulnerabilities.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and orchestration.
• Experience collaborating across cloud, DevSecOps, software engineering, and cybersecurity teams.
• Current AWS certification.

Responsibilities

• Design secure cloud architectures and solutions with security throughout the lifecycle.
• Identify and implement cloud-based secure solutions including IAM and data protection.
• Implement and maintain IAM controls including least-privilege access.
• Assess and harden cloud environments and configurations.
• Identify, assess, document, and track cloud vulnerabilities and risks.
• Collaborate with cloud engineers and cybersecurity teams to remediate weaknesses.
• Monitor cloud environments for suspicious activity using cloud-native tools and SIEM.
• Conduct risk assessments, threat modeling, and security testing in cloud environments.
• Automate security processes including vulnerability management and config assessment.
• Support infrastructure as code and large-scale deployments with security in mind.
• Evaluate IaC and cloud configurations for security impacts.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
