Job summary

Compass, Inc. seeks hands-on security engineers to build secure, scalable web and mobile apps for the real estate platform. You will lead security as a service, automate guardrails, and collaborate with engineering to embed safe-by-default practices across cloud infrastructure.

You will assess threats, participate in incidents, and design scalable control systems leveraging CNAPP tools and containerization technologies.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years in a security-related role, with 2+ years on cloud security.
Proficiency with cloud platforms and security features (AWS IAM, EC2, VPC, ECR/ECS/EKS; Azure basics).
Experience with CNAPP or similar cloud security tools (Wiz, Orca, Lacework, Upwind).
Programming in Python or Go for automation; strong security principles.
Knowledge of least privilege, defense-in-depth, and security monitoring.
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes environments.

Responsibilities

Automate security requirements and build guardrails to accelerate engineering velocity.
Design and implement scalable security controls for cloud infrastructure.
Collaborate with engineering and security teams to deploy security enhancements across cloud infra.
Build enduring, high-trust partnerships with the Engineering organization.
Assist in security incident investigations and guide remediation across teams.
Conduct security assessments for third-party integrations and emerging AI tools.
