Job summary

Compass is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to drive security as a service for our cloud-native platform. You will architect secure, scalable systems for AWS and Azure, and automate guardrails to empower engineering velocity.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy security enhancements, investigate incidents, and assess third-party integrations while maintaining data integrity and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years in security roles, with at least 2+ years in cloud security.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms and security features (AWS, Azure, and related services).
• Experience with CNAPP tools (e.g., Wiz, Orca, Lacework, Upwind) is preferred.
• Programming for automation: Python or Go.

Responsibilities

• Build security as a service with safe-by-default tooling and guardrails.
• Design and implement scalable controls to secure cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to deploy security enhancements.
• Investigate security events and guide teams to improve practices.
• Conduct security assessments for third-party integrations and AI tools.
