Job summary

Compass is hiring a Senior Security Engineer, Cloud Security to help secure our cloud-native platform for real estate. You will automate security requirements, build scalable guardrails, and lead security enhancements across our cloud infrastructure.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering teams to drive safe-by-default security practices. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in security with cloud-focused experience, strong Python/Go automation skills, and expertise in AWS and Azure,

Qualifications

At least 5+ years in security, with 2+ years in cloud security.
Strong understanding of AWS (IAM, EC2, VPC, ECR/ECS/EKS) and Azure basics.
Experience with CNAPP or similar cloud security tools.
Proficiency in Python or Go for automation.
Knowledge of least privilege, defense-in-depth, and security monitoring.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

Automate security requirements and build guardrails to accelerate engineering velocity.
Design and implement scalable security controls for cloud infrastructure.
Collaborate with engineering and security teams to deploy security enhancements and policy changes.
Build high-trust partnerships across the Engineering organization.
Assist in security incident investigations and remediation guidance.
Conduct security assessments for third-party integrations and AI tools.
