Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Senior Lead Cybersecurity Architect to define principles, standards, and patterns for secure multi-cloud and on‑premises environments. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed cybersecurity into architecture decisions.

The role focuses on secure design patterns, guardrails, incident response, risk analysis, and governance, reporting to the Senior Director of Cybersecurity Architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 8 years of experience (or equivalent).
• At least 4 years focused on cybersecurity.
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and on-premises infrastructure.
• Ability to communicate objectives to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong writing, executive presentation, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 27000, NIST, FFIEC) and relevant regulations.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Identify and define cybersecurity policies, standards, and guardrails.
• Lead cybersecurity guideline definition across product and enterprise architecture groups.
• Develop secure design patterns for engineering teams.
• Contribute to governance patterns, policies, and standards beyond cybersecurity.
• Analyze risks and recommend innovative security solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure release processes.
• Define guardrails with business and engineering teams for secure adoption.
• Participate in security events and incident response to close design gaps.
• Research and evaluate emerging security trends and technologies.
• Collaborate with data users and stakeholders to factor security into decision making.
• Incorporate vulnerability management and governance into standards.
