Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer (Production Support) to perform high-level operational support of complex cloud systems. You will work with VA stakeholders to detect, diagnose, and resolve outages while maintaining documentation and security compliance.

The role requires 8+ years in systems engineering, strong Linux/Windows skills, and experience with AWS/Azure, CI/CD, IaC, and monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field, production environments.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure Cloud services and monitoring.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day operational support of complex cloud systems.
• Develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.
• Document problems and report status to users and management.
• Maintain and install computing infrastructure; ensure VA standards and security policies.
