Job summary

Nametag, a remote‑first company building secure digital identity, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to own infrastructure, reliability, and platform engineering in the US. You will design scalable cloud systems across AWS and Fly.io, manage CI/CD pipelines, and build internal tooling to boost engineering velocity.

You’ll collaborate with leadership on technical roadmaps, mentor peers, and ensure uptime, security, and developer experience.

Qualifications

• Cloud & infrastructure hands‑on experience.
• Terraform or equivalent IaC tooling production experience.
• PostgreSQL schema design, migrations, and tuning.
• CI/CD pipeline design and GitHub Actions experience.
• Proficiency in modern, type‑safe languages (Go preferred).
• Experience building and operating logging, tracing, and metrics in production.
• Experience shipping ML infrastructure into production (MLOps).
• Experience at an early‑stage startup and moving fast without compromising reliability.
• Security‑minded by default, with threat modeling considerations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS and Fly.io.
• Own deployment strategy and service design for monolith and microservices; manage migrations and rollout safety.
• Manage infrastructure‑as‑code for reproducible, auditable infra.
• Identify reliability risks, bottlenecks, and security gaps; address proactively.
