Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, secure, and scale our AWS-based healthcare credentialing platform. The role spans cloud engineering, systems administration, and on-prem Nutanix, with Rancher, ECS Anywhere, and SSL/TLS responsibilities.

You will be the Linux SME while also managing Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP, IIS, and the on-prem Nutanix environment. Strong scripting in Python, PowerShell, and Bash is essential, along with experience in secure mail

Qualifications

5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, and/or systems administration.
3+ years supporting production workloads in AWS.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure with a focus on security and DR.
Manage infrastructure as code (CloudFormation) and support CI/CD pipelines for containers.
Run container workloads on ECS/ECS Anywhere and administer Rancher Cattle clusters.
Provision and harden Linux, and administer Windows Server, AD, DNS/DHCP, and IIS.
Manage Nutanix Prism Element/Central, AHV VM management, capacity planning, upgrades, and data protection.
Automate configuration and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and AWS Systems Manager.
Own SMTP relay infra (Postfix/SES), TLS certificates, and renewals across services.
Maintain monitoring, logging, alerting; participate in on-call and HITRUST/SOC2 compliance.
