Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with deep AWS expertise to design, secure, and scale our healthcare credentialing platform. You will own Linux administration, on-prem Nutanix, container platforms, SMTP relay, and SSL/TLS management in a primarily Windows-based environment, with high ownership in a remote role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or sys admin roles.
• Production AWS experience and related security concepts.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, ECS, S3, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch, Systems Manager).
• Manage infrastructure as code (CloudFormation) and support CI/CD pipelines for containers.
• Run containerized workloads on Amazon ECS and ECS Anywhere, and administer Rancher Cattle clusters.
• Provision, harden, patch, and troubleshoot Linux servers; administer Windows Server (AD, DNS/DHCP, IIS).
• Administer Nutanix Prism Element/Central (AHV, health, capacity, upgrades, data protection).
• Automate configuration and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and Systems Manager.
• Own SMTP relay infrastructure (Postfix/AWS SES) and SSL/TLS certificate management across platforms.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, on-call readiness, and HITRUST/SOC 2 compliance support.
