Job summary

Verisys is seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, secure, and scale the healthcare credentialing platform. This remote role requires residing in an approved state and offers ownership across cloud engineering, systems administration, and support responsibilities.

You will manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, ECS), automate with CloudFormation, and operate Rancher and ECS Anywhere while overseeing on-prem Nutanix.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, SRE, and/or systems administration, including 3+ years supporting production workloads in AWS.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with security controls and HITRUST/SOC 2 familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate secure, highly available AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, ECS, S3, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch) following AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Manage infrastructure as code (CloudFormation) and support CI/CD pipelines for container builds and deployments.
• Run containerized workloads on Amazon ECS and ECS Anywhere, and administer Rancher native Cattle clusters.
• Provision, harden, patch, and troubleshoot Linux across physical, virtual, and cloud servers.
• Administer Windows Server (AD, GPO, DNS/DHCP, IIS) on-premises and in EC2.
• Administer Nutanix Prism Element/Central, AHV, capacity planning, upgrades, data protection.
• Automate configuration and patching with Python, PowerShell, Bash, and AWS Systems Manager.
• Own SMTP relay infrastructure (Postfix and/or SES) and SSL/TLS certificate management across IIS/Linux/Postfix/AWS.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, participate in on-call, and support HITRUST and SOC 2 compliance.
