Job summary

Peraton is seeking a seasoned Network/Systems Engineer to support cloud network operations. This role focuses on translating customer requirements into scalable designs, implementing complex data network solutions, and ensuring robust integration across enterprise and cloud environments.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in enterprise networks, high-availability design, and Cisco technologies.

Qualifications

• Twenty (20) years of experience as a Network Engineer and/or Systems Engineer on programs of similar scope.
• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is required.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph is required.
• Experience planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts.
• Experience designing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining enterprise networks.
• Experience developing detailed network architecture diagrams, specifications, and design documentation.
• Experience with router, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, and gateways.

Responsibilities

• Review customer-submitted requirements and perform end-to-end network engineering.
• Design, implement, and integrate complex data network solutions for enterprise and cloud environments.
• Translate customer requirements into scalable technical designs and ensure cross-system integration.
• Deliver network architectures with detailed documentation and specifications.
• Recommend hardware selections and tooling to meet current and future capacity requirements.
• Design and implement failover and high-availability solutions for mission-critical environments.
• Support load balancing, VPNs, NAT, firewall contexts, and related network services.
• Perform redundancy testing across Cisco-based networks.
