Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to design, develop, and implement secure cloud-based solutions for mission-critical environments. You will architect infrastructure, define technical plans, and specify deployment of modern cloud platforms, collaborating with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders.

The role requires 6+ years in software development, 6+ years in Java/C/C++, UNIX/Linux experience, and active TS/SCI with a polygraph.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 6+ years of hands-on software development involving requirements analysis, design, integration, testing, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• 4+ years of experience with a Master's degree.
• 6+ years developing in Java, C, or C++.
• 5+ years developing software in UNIX/Linux (Red Hat 3-5) environments.
• 3+ years in software integration and testing with test plans and scripts.
• AWS certifications: Solutions Architect - Associate, Developer - Associate, or DevOps Engineer - Professional.
• Cloud certification possession is required and will be verified.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with a current polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and implements secure cloud-based solutions for scalable, mission-critical environments.
• Architect cloud infrastructure, develop detailed technical plans, and define deployment specifications.
• Collaborates with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define requirements and specs for cloud products.
• Leads deployment and integration of cloud management platforms and enhances reliability and scalability.
• Performs operations and maintenance of secure managed cloud platforms; implements automation and IaC with CI/CD.
• Develops BOE documentation and conducts cost-benefit analyses of cloud strategies.
