Job summary

Peraton is seeking a seasoned Network/Systems Engineer in Maryland to lead enterprise and cloud network projects. The role requires translating customer requirements into scalable designs and delivering end-to-end network solutions across complex environments.

Candidates should have 20+ years of experience and an active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph. Exposure to Cisco Nexus/ASA platforms and high-availability architectures is essential.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with current polygraph is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related discipline is required.
• Twenty (20) years of experience as a Network Engineer and/or Systems Engineer on programs of similar scope and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Review customer-submitted requirements and perform end-to-end network engineering.
• Design, implement, and integrate complex data network solutions for enterprise and cloud environments.
• Translate customer requirements into scalable technical designs and ensure integration across systems and platforms.
• Produce detailed network architecture documentation and specifications.
• Design and implement failover and redundancy solutions for mission-critical environments.
• Support server infrastructure with load balancing, VPNs, firewall contexts, and NAT.
• Work with engineering and network teams to deliver customer-driven solutions.
