Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a senior software engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, cloud-native enterprise applications. Qualifications

• This role requires expertise in distributed systems, microservices, RESTful APIs and SOA.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, React.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience developing cloud-native apps on Azure and/or AWS with containerized deployments.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, Rancher, Istio, Apigee, and CI/CD tools.
• Knowledge of software design patterns, resiliency, security, observability, and reliability engineering.
• Experience implementing automated testing frameworks (Jest, RTL, Cypress, Playwright).
• Familiarity with AI/ML application development and enterprise AI platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of scalable, secure cloud-native enterprise apps.
• Architect and implement microservices, APIs, and event-driven systems for high availability.
• Develop modern UIs using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Build backend services with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and containerized architectures.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, Architecture, and Engineering teams to translate requirements.
• Promote engineering excellence with automated testing, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Mentor engineers and influence architectural decisions across delivery teams.
• Evaluate and adopt Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and enterprise AI platforms.
