Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks a seasoned software engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-native enterprise applications.

You will build microservices, APIs, and event-driven systems while delivering high-performance front-end experiences with React, TypeScript, and modern web tech. You will also craft robust backend services with Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka, working in containerized environments and embracing DevOps and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in software development.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and delivery of scalable cloud-native enterprise apps.
• Architect and implement microservices, APIs, event-driven systems for performance and high availability.
• Develop front-end UX with React/TypeScript/HTML5/CSS3.
• Build backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, in containerized environments.
• Collaborate with Product/UX/Architecture/Engineering to translate requirements.
• Drive engineering excellence with reviews, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Mentor engineers and influence technical direction across teams.
• Evaluate emerging tech including Generative AI, LLMs, and enterprise AI platforms.
