Job summary

Archer, in collaboration with JPMorganChase, seeks a Senior Lead Software Engineer to shape architecture and deliver cloud-native platforms for product intake, communication, collaboration, and knowledge sharing within an agile engineering organization.

You will mentor engineers across teams, own platform‑level architecture, and drive end‑to‑end initiatives, defining standards and driving measurable business outcomes while contributing to security, performance, and observability across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• Proven expertise in distributed system design, application architecture, and technical leadership.
• Experience leading AI-assisted software development tools and setting team expectations for AI output validation.
• Strong understanding of secure, resilient, and observable systems and cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own platform-level architecture and technical strategy across one or more platforms.
• Lead complex technical initiatives from discovery through delivery and operations.
• Design and implement cloud-native software with integrations including Jira Align, Bitbucket/GitHub and event-driven workflows.
• Architect and build backend services, GraphQL APIs, and modern React UIs with modular frontends.
• Mentor engineers across junior to senior levels and translate business goals into measurable technical outcomes.
• Set non-functional standards (security, performance, observability) and enforce CI/CD quality gates.
