Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to design and deliver cloud-native platforms and services across multiple product teams. You will guide architecture, set technical direction, and mentor engineers in a fast-paced, secure environment using Java, React, GraphQL, Python, and AWS.

You will own end-to-end delivery, collaborate with stakeholders to align roadmaps with business goals, and ensure high-quality, scalable solutions across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• 5+ years of applied software engineering experience.
• Proven expertise in distributed system design and architecture.
• Experience leading AI-assisted software development tools and safe adoption.

Responsibilities

• Own platform-level architecture and technical strategy across one or more platforms.
• Lead complex technical initiatives from discovery through delivery and operations.
• Design and implement cloud-native software with key integrations (Jira, Bitbucket/GitHub).
• Architect and build backend services, GraphQL APIs, and React UIs with micro-frontends.
• Mentor engineers and translate business goals into measurable technical outcomes.
• Enforce security, performance, availability, and observability standards.
