Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Architect to shape cloud-native architecture across core business functions. You will drive end-to-end system design, governance, and secure software delivery, partnering with stakeholders to define target state architectures and tactical roadmaps.

The role requires strong programming and SDLC expertise, hands-on problem solving, and a deep understanding of the financial services domain to deliver scalable, resilient solutions on modern cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an Application/Solution Architect.
• Hands-on experience delivering end-to-end system design, development, testing and production operations.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages with strong engineering capability.
• Knowledge of SDLC, quality and release practices.
• Experience with automation, CI/CD and agile practices.
• Focus on application resiliency and security principles.
• Expertise in at least one domain (e.g., cloud-native, AI/ML) with cloud-native experience.
• Ability to independently solve complex design problems with minimal oversight.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and inclusive culture.

Responsibilities

• Engages technical teams and stakeholders to align on needs and propose approaches.
• Defines the technical target state for the product and drives strategy execution.
• Participates in architecture governance and drives alignment and reviews.
• Evaluates emerging technologies and influences adoption decisions.
• Designs, develops, and troubleshoots complex software solutions.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and conducts reviews.
• Implements automation to improve stability and reduce remediation effort.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams on architecture designs.
• Shapes product design, functionality, and operations/processes.
• Defines agentic AI architecture guidelines with governance guardrails.
