Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to shape platform architecture, lead cross-team initiatives, and deliver cloud-native capabilities with strong security and observability. You will mentor engineers, drive SDLC excellence, and define roadmaps aligned to business outcomes across multiple firmwide platforms.

You will work across Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, GraphQL/REST APIs, and modern React UIs, with AWS-based, multi-region resilience and SSO controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with leadership.
• Expertise in distributed system design and architecture.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and drive cross-team initiatives.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and secure coding practices.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures on AWS and multi-region resiliency.
• Experience delivering scalable APIs (GraphQL/REST) and front-end UI patterns.

Responsibilities

• Own platform-level architecture and technical strategy across one or more platforms.
• Lead complex initiatives from discovery through operations with standards and patterns.
• Design and implement cloud-native software with key integrations (Jira, Bitbucket/GitHub).
• Architect backend services, GraphQL REST APIs, and React UIs with modular frontends.
• Mentor engineers and align technical decisions with business outcomes.
• Set SLOs/SLAs, CI/CD gates, and secure access controls across platforms.
• Evaluate new technologies and promote secure-by-design patterns.
