Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to design and optimize secure cloud environments supporting U.S. government missions. You will work across AWS GovCloud, Azure, and multi-cloud stacks to meet NIST, FedRAMP, RMF, and DoD IL requirements while collaborating with DevSecOps.

Ideal candidates bring 5–9+ years of cloud security experience, hands-on GovCloud and multi-cloud expertise, and strong skills in IAM, encryption, and security automation. On-site at Playa Vista, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of cloud security experience.
• 5–9+ years in cloud security engineering in multi-cloud.
• U.S. citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures across AWS GovCloud, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Maintain compliance with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, RMF, DoD ILs.
• Configure IAM, RBAC, JIT, Key Vaults, and Zero Trust across cloud environments.
• Deploy cloud-native security tools (Defender for Cloud, Azure Sentinel, AWS GovCloud services).
• Perform vulnerability assessments, pen tests, security reviews, and continuous monitoring.
• Develop SSPs, SARs, POAMs, and risk/compliance reporting for cloud operations.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps to integrate security into CI/CD and IaC.
