Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Sr. Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to design, optimize, and automate cloud infrastructure supporting our payments platforms across AWS and Azure. You’ll partner with product and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

You’ll drive IaC with Terraform and Ansible, manage CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/Harness), mentor teammates, and improve stability and compliance across Linux/Windows environments in a global, fast-paced company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing and operating in AWS and Azure.
• 5-7 years in systems administration, design or engineering.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment management (Jenkins, Harness).
• Strong IaC experience with Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell and Python.
• Hands-on knowledge of Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and related services.
• Familiarity with VMware ESXi and vCenter.
• Ability to work independently and in teams; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Formulate cloud infrastructure designs in AWS and Azure to meet corporate standards.
• Support automated resource provisioning, hardening, and firewall policies.
• Collaborate with business owners, product and applications teams on engineering projects.
• Maintain installation and configuration procedures and drive automation.
• Provide cross-training and share team knowledge.
• Develop shared tooling knowledge to reduce single points of failure.
• Work with management to establish and enforce technical policies and procedures.
• Help maintain up-to-date operational documentation.
• Drive security and compliance across managed systems.
• Improve stability and availability of infrastructure services.
