Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Sr. Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to design, optimize, and automate cloud infrastructure across our business platforms. You will work in a dynamic IT Infrastructure team shaping the future of global commerce.

You will own cloud designs, automate provisioning, and collaborate with product and applications teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions while mentoring peers and driving best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Design and operations experience in AWS and Azure environments.
• 5-7 years of systems administration, design, or engineering IT experience.
• Experience with GitHub Enterprise, deployment management, and CI/CD (Jenkins, Harness).
• Proficient with Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell and Python for IaC and automation.
• Strong Linux and Windows Server knowledge; automation via scripting is required.
• Familiarity with AD, DHCP, DNS, DFS, Group Policy and virtual environments (VMware).
• Experience with automation across lifecycles and software deployment principles.

Responsibilities

• Conceive and implement cloud infrastructure designs across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments.
• Automate provisioning, hardening, load balancing, and firewall policy workflows.
• Collaborate with business owners, product and applications teams on multiple projects.
• Maintain installation procedures and drive automation improvements.
• Mentor teammates and share knowledge on leveraged tools.
• Ensure security policies and compliance across managed systems.
