Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Sr. Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to design, optimize, support, and automate our cloud infrastructure across our business platforms. You will work in a hybrid environment with AWS and Azure, focusing on automation, resilience, and security.

Responsibilities include provisioning, configuration, and ongoing optimization of cloud resources, plus cross-functional collaboration with product and applications teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Design and operate cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure per company standards.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment management (Jenkins, Harness).
• Strong IaC skills with Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell and Python.
• Administer Linux and Windows Server through scripted/automated processes.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, DFS and Group Policy; basic networking.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and carry out cloud infrastructure designs in AWS/Azure to meet strategic goals.
• Support automated build activities, resource provisioning, hardening, and firewall policies.
• Own engineering efforts across multiple projects in collaboration with product and applications teams.
• Maintain installation and configuration procedures and drive automation.
• Provide cross-training and mentoring to team members on leveraged tools.
• Establish and uphold technical policies and procedures with management.
• Drive security and compliance efforts for systems managed by the team.
• Improve stability and availability of infrastructure services.
• Collaborate with PMs and Infrastructure Coordinators on project progress and solutions.
