Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Sr. Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to design, optimize, and automate our cloud platforms across AWS and Azure, supporting business-critical applications.

You will own infrastructure design, deployment automation, security, and operations, work with cross-functional teams, and drive improvements while participating in on-call rotations. The role requires strong scripting, IaC skills, and a passion for scalable, reliable systems in a global payments environment.

Qualifications

• Design and operations experience in AWS and Azure environments.
• Strong IaC and scripting experience across multiple languages.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Solid knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration.
• Proven ability to work across teams on cloud infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and carry out cloud infrastructure designs, primarily in AWS and Azure.
• Support automated build activities, resource provisioning, and security policies.
• Own engineering efforts for multiple projects with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain installation and configuration procedures and drive automation.
• Provide cross-training and document leveraged tools to reduce dependencies.
• Establish and support technical policies and procedures with management.
• Drive compliance and security for systems managed by the team.
• Improve stability and availability of infrastructure services.
• Collaborate with project managers and coordinators on progress and solutions.
