Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Sr. Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to design, optimize, support and automate cloud infrastructure across business platforms. You will work on AWS and Azure, automate provisioning, and drive platform improvements with cross-functional teams.

The role requires 5-7 years of IT experience, strong scripting (PowerShell/Python) and IaC (Terraform, Ansible), plus expertise in Linux/Windows, AD/DNS, and virtualization. On-site, full-time opportunity with global benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Design and operations experience in AWS and Azure environments.
• 5-7 years of systems administration, design, engineering or commensurate IT experience.
• Experience with GitHub Enterprise, Jenkins and Harness for deployment pipelines.
• Strong IaC and scripting: Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell and Python.
• Strong Linux and Windows Server knowledge with scripted administration.
• Experience with AD, DNS, DFS and Group Policy; virtualization incl. VMware ESXi/vCenter.
• Familiarity with automation orchestration and config management.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and carry out cloud infrastructure designs, primarily in AWS and Azure.
• Support automated build activities, provisioning, hardening, and firewall rules.
• Contribute to engineering projects with cross-team collaboration.
• Maintain installation/configuration procedures and drive automation.
• Provide cross-training and share knowledge across the team.
• Develop and enforce technical policies and procedures with stakeholders.
• Drive security and availability improvements for infrastructure services.
• Collaborate with project managers on progress and solutions.
