Job summary

US AI, a forward-looking digital transformation company in Bethesda, seeks a Senior System Engineer to join the IT Infrastructure team. You’ll apply DevOps, manage cloud platforms, and work with developers to support deployment and operations of software products.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in SDLC/agile, 4+ years in full-stack TypeScript, strong Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and IaC with Terraform. Eligible for security clearance; US citizenship required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience with SDLC models and agile methodologies.
• 4+ years of full-stack development using TypeScript at both front end and back end.
• Ability to obtain security clearance (Secret or higher) – US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain IT Infrastructure.
• Monitor and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) for high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to automate and improve development and release processes.
• Maintain and improve configuration management practices.
• Develop and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Support version control systems (Git).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
• Ensure system security through monitoring, patching, and best-practice implementation.
• Document processes and maintain records of configurations and changes.
