AHEAD is a leading technology services firm helping enterprises optimize cloud costs and accelerate digital transformation. The Managed Services Operations Lead, FinOps is the senior technical authority for FinOps across AWS, Azure, and GCP, guiding delivery teams and clients with strategic, data-driven cost optimization initiatives.

The role is remote within the United States with up to 15% travel and requires executive communication, strategic planning, and strong FinOps expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, finance, business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of information technology experience, including 5+ years focused on FinOps, cloud cost management, cloud governance, or related cloud engineering.
• 5+ years in a customer-facing, stakeholder-facing, consulting, or service delivery role with responsibility for presenting findings, solution designs, and recommendations to technical, financial, and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for Cloud FinOps Engineers supporting client engagements, resolving complex technical and financial analysis scenarios.
• Lead AI and automation roadmap for the FinOps practice, including productized capabilities and explainable outputs.
• Define and oversee cost optimization across AWS, Azure, and GCP including rightsizing, idle resource cleanup, and budgeting.
• Own the architecture of dashboards, reports, budgets, and recurring service review content for client engagements.
• Maintain standards for tagging governance, data validation, and reporting models across billing data sources.
